Pete is a freeloader who makes a little money at the swap meet but has a keen propensity for getting laid off and living off his current wife. When wife number two tells him he has to keep his job for six months so that she won't run out on him with their child, he gets fired in a matter of weeks for insulting a receptionist and being a bad bowler. Rather than go home, he hitches to Las Vegas and is picked up by a smut dealer who robs him before he gets to his destination. After getting fired from a restaurant, he ends up at Caeser's Palace looking for his ex-wife, who is getting too old to be a showgirl and wants nothing to do with Pete.
