HAAS SL20 LATHE SPINDLE MOTOR PULLEY SHRINK FIT NEW. Condition is New. Haas no longer sale this pulley as a stand alone item. Instead they sale the pulley and motor as an assembly for over 00. +tax and core exchange.
Usually the spindle motor bearing will fail first, we made these pulley for our own lathe because we don’t think it’s reasonable to spend over 00 due to a set of bad bearings that only cost around .
Here we made a few extra so you can save your hard earned money. We use them on our own lathe. The pulley is made from 4140 steel and it’s direct replacement you will need to heat them up with torch to about 400 degrees F they will slide onto motor shaft and cool to a permanent fit.
I recommend to cut the original pulley in order to remove it unless you have some good pullers and high power induction heating equipment, to minimize damage to the motor shaft. We have done this for multiple of our own machines in the past.
I believe they will fit most of the SL-20 lathe model years if not all. Please look at the dimensions I provide to compare with you original pulley and make sure they are the same before you buy.
However I will accept returns if it was never installed and has no sign of damage.
