Publication:
London: Vic Films, 1968
Description:
Shooting script for the 1971 film, seen here under the working title "Bloody Sunday."
A recently divorced woman in her mid-30s and a successful Jewish doctor are both romantically involved with a charming young sculptor named Bob. Both parties are aware Bob is seeing the other-and indeed, have a shared social circle-but have decided to live with the love triangle rather than risk losing him.
A frank and groundbreaking examination of romance, sexuality, and relationships. Notably, the first mainstream film with a gay character (and a bisexual character) that is guiltless and successful, not condescending, and non-stereotypical.
Set in and shot on location in London.
Blue untitled wrappers with a die-cut title window in the British style. Title page present, dated December 1969, noted as Shooting Script, with credits for screenwriter Penelope Gilliatt. 134 leaves, with last page of text numbered 133.
